Please don't hire either of these 2 jokers. Both are experienced, but don't seem to bring anything new or dynamic to the position...I'd rather see them keep Petrie than hire one of these guys.

...This is not tampering. Sports authorities, from commissioners on down the line of power-hungry league executives in all sports, are so full of themselves that it makes one sick to the stomach. Let's stop the pettiness in sports. The only thing Malone's comments did was energize the fan base of the NBA--both King fans and fans of other franchises. This is so monumentally petty as to defy understanding. Pro sports may one day kill off the goose that laid the golden egg..

How is this tampering? He didn't say anything about making a run at trying to sign him. He simply thinks purple and white would look good on him. Unfortunately opinions are heavily penalized in the NBA I guess.

Too much to prove, way too much to prove. Not that it's a trait that doesn't make great ball players, but think of all the "Got something to prove" players already on the Kings. While talking culture I would say the Kings need players that have self confidence not players that are looking for it.

How many times have you heard 'My offensive game is better than people think?" or "I just need room to operate so I can show people what I can do."

Last year so much of that from several King's players.

DMC (obviously)
Isiah Thomas (the chip looks good on his shoulder I think)
Thomas Robinson (summer league is all I have to say)
James Johnson (he actually had me convinced...for a minute)

Why cant high draft picks ever talk about there defensive focus, or there leadership?

I guess it's for the agents sake.

Many reports seem to indicate the plan is for 2 hirings... One with name recognition and one with experience.

Looking at the names:
- Larry has bowed out.
- Mullin is cool, but I don't want the Kings to turn in to GS Lite.
- Kenny belongs on TNT.
- This makes it Webber by default, and I am good with that.

For the Experience:
- Schlenk is out (see Mullin comment)
- Morway made sense if Bird was going to be the Name, but since Bird is out, so is Morway.
- Dunleavy? Oh god please no.
- D'Alessandro would be an OK choice, but doesn't really excite me.
- Wallace: I think this is our guy... He has had success as a small market GM, and that is what we want.

What real basketball player wouldn't want a coach like that?
This season we get to see if who wants to be a basketball player and pay who wants to collect paychecks playing a game.

From a professional perspective you guys capture your voices adequately, and even do fairly well with your outside sources (phones,skype, etc) its just the leveling. When you check it, use a crappy laptop speaker, it's less forgiving. Those expensive headphones make everything sound good. ;-). Thanks for the reporting, keep it up!

I love you guys but that is a pretty painful podcast. The background noise in the interviews was bad, and you need to work on making sure the level matching is better during the back and forth... There was a few times I had to crank the volume to hear Jonathan and than jumped out of my chair when James started talking. LOL
