I will lose interest in the NBA if the Kings move...the Maloofs are hurting a lot of people to serve their own interests...the city deserves better leaders. With power comes responsibility...I hope the Maloofs find a way to redeem themselves and invest into the city rather than expect the city to continue to invest into them.

OCCUPY ARCO! No, but seriously. Show your support by tailgating at the parking lot (park across the street if you have to) and watching the game outdoors. But DO NOT enter the games. You'll still be supporting the team, and video footage of a packed parking lot outside of an empty arena would make a huge impact. Wear your gear, facepaint, invite outdoor vendors, support local businesses, and watch and cheer for the games without giving the Maloofs another dime.

Am so sick & tired of these "boys" back-stabbing, denials, and outright lying in the name if business. They want the city & fans to fully fund them a new building so they can continue to put out the cheapest possible product and postpone building maintenance. They are the slumlords of the NBA. As much as I care about the team, I can't possibly spend aother penny for any event there. Yes, they make money on concessions, just because they sub-contracted doesn't change that fact. Did anyone notice parking went fromt 10 up to 12 dollars immediately after pulling out of arena deal? How many ways can they say screw you, Sacramento?

Painful. Keep stacking the evidence and keeping pressure up with emails to NBA. A scathing sequel to SMBH would be nice, especially if it could get the cnbc treatment Sonicgate got. I feel the only chance we got left to to keep supporting team by high attendance and going as public as possible with our case.

I don't often comment on stories, but this is a remarkable piece of writing. Laid out bare for the world to see. Most people would, I think, agree with you that the Maloof family has time and time again, sabotaged any deal that would keep them in Sacramento. A very simple first step to repairing (what I think is absolutely irreparable) relations with the fans and city...SIGN A DOCUMENT, an official document, that denies the Kings the right to request relocation for 5 years. This will allow time for tempers to cool and the process to move forward.

The petty, insulted part of me wants the city to agree to help with a renovation of Arco (never will I refer to it as Power Balance Pavilion) just to call the bluff. And if it moves forward, against all odds, just pull out of the deal and say "We changed our minds" or "We think that this is really a bad deal for the Kings and the Maloof family. Let's see how they respond. How long before they are accusing the city of all the things the city is accusing them of now.

The fact of the matter is, that nothing they say will sway the people of Sacramento 1 tiny bit. They agreed to a deal without, in my opinion, any intention of following through. And now they play games by claiming that the reason is "it was a bad deal for the city". And Gavin does not speak up in a meeting about the proposal because "It's not his job." As if we are the dimmest dolts walking the earth. Even the most furious, passionate Kings haters can see through this curtain of lies.

Bottom line, sell the team to someone that gives a $&^@ about more than being in "The OC". Sell it to someone that can afford to put a good product on the floor of a state of the art new ESC and leave us the hell alone.

Carlos, the Maloofs sold off the food and beverage rights a couple of years ago, so not buying drinks and food do not hurt them at all. This really comes down to the Maloofs wanting to have an arena built for them with no out of pocket, but they also want to take all of the profit. Anything less for them is unexceptionable to them.

The only way to hurt the owners is to go to the stadium and not buy anything like food and the Kings store. Support the team only by attending games, but do not buy anything there as that money goes to the owners.

Thank you Rob for finally telling the story how it really is. The Maloofs are scumbags no way around it. Even an imbecile with a half a brain could run a casino to profit. How can this family even consider themselves successful? Sell your father's business, beer, to invest in just a strong of a business, casino, to fail. I will not be putting another dime in their pockets, they deserve to be BOYCOTTED. Stay tuned all Sacramento citizens, boycotting PBP will be in play very soon. Please for the love of God, DO NOT attend any more events at PBP. This team is as good as gone, at least we can send them off to Anaheim with a nice go f yourself with no money in their wallet. Make these bafoons file for bankruptcy. BOYCOTT MALOOFS. You want to see the Kings game? Watch it at a local bar and spend your money there. You want to see them up close and personal? Schedule a trip to Golden State and take in your Kings twice next year. The power is all in the Maloofs hands right now, we need to take the power back and BOYCOTT.

A big bodied center or power forward that can set a decent screen and who can also pick and pop and shoot the three would have been a game changer for the kings. The King's tendency to drive to the hole simply fit Isiah Thomas' style of play better. There was a quarter her and there where Jimmer's confidence came back and he showed he could carry an NBA team. The bulk of the players on this team do not want that paradigm, as could be seen by the early season power struggle between Westphal and Cousins.
